No need to physically take the ballasts out of the fixture or cut the wires off , just make sure they are not energized . Use the items included with the new LED bulbs. At some point, you might need to switch back over to the original bulbs or need a replacement ballast elsewhere. That’s how I retrofitted mine.

Not as easy as it looks. The challenge is to strip the waterproof coating cleanly without cutting through the thin filament. Nevertheless, mine have been in place for 12 years now without a glitch. I did have to replace a power source. Mine are in the kitchen under counters including over the stove. which generates lots of steam,. Good video.

Thanks for the video, mine no longer works after taking the bulb housing out of the pool, I also noticed the electrical connector to the bulb was corroded, can this be sanded down or do I need to replace the housing?

For any tube with wiring is only one side this won't work.
